The new project funding scheme will help 120 traditional brick and mortar companies throughout Chesterfield set up a digital presence – supported by grants and expert advice – so they can increase their opportunities to trade online and get their brand noticed.
And Purpose Media are proud to be the chosen agency to both create and host the e-commerce websites. Our team of experts will be on-hand to support getting the businesses’ websites live and offering continuous training to give owners control of their new online platform.
Matt Wheatcroft, Managing Director at Purpose Media, commented: “We are delighted to partner up with Chesterfield Borough Council and East Midlands Chamber on this initiative that will benefit businesses across Chesterfield.
“In times like these, trading online could be the difference between growing or losing your business and our team of experts are here to help owners bolster their sales and support their move to digital. Our team are here to help and we look forward to supporting businesses both locally and across the UK.”
East Midlands Chamber chief executive Scott Knowles said: “The pandemic has had a huge impact on small and micro-businesses in sectors such as retail, hospitality and leisure, which have previously relied on their physical venues to trade successfully.
“While we’re all looking forward to visiting these places again as we edge nearer normality, it’s crucial these SMEs are future-proofed and we’re delighted to be playing a key role in supporting businesses via the Chesterfield Digital High Street project on behalf of the funder Chesterfield Borough Council.
“We also look forward to working closely with our strategic partner Purpose Media, which will be instrumental by creating the modern websites, equipped with the latest e-commerce technology, to ensure these much-loved independent businesses thrive in a sustainable fashion for a long time to come.”
